Quarantine Zone Creator Kit
This documentation explains what mods for Quarantine Zone: The Last Check (by Brigada Games) can do, how to build them with the Creator Kit, and how to test and publish them.
The Creator Kit is named ModKit in some of the kit's own files. The current Creator Kit version is 1.0. Mods are distributed only through mod.io; the Creator Kit is obtained only from the Epic Games Store.
Where to start
- Install the Creator Kit and keep it updated.
- Follow the Quick start to create your first mod.
- See What mods can do to pick what to build.
- Try the skin mod tutorial for a step-by-step example.
- Test your mod, then package and publish it.
Good to know
- Mods packaged with older kit versions keep working unless a release says otherwise. See the Changelog.
- Third-party assets in the kit are cooked and read-only: see the limitations.
- Questions? Check the FAQ and Troubleshooting.
Glossary
- UGC (user-generated content): a mod. The kit's mod.io tools use this word, for example the Package UGC page; the buttons are named Create Mods and Package Mods.
- PIE (Play In Editor): running the game inside the kit editor.
- Cooked: content converted into the game's runtime format. Cooked assets can be used and referenced, but not opened, edited or saved.
